Peace After the Storm

God’s Presence in the Flood

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you.” — Isaiah 43:2

The storm has passed. The trees are broken, the roads destroyed and many homes have been destroyed, yet in our heart whispers thank You, Lord. It’s in these quiet moments after chaos that Isaiah 43:2 comes alive: when we pass through the waters, not if. Storms are a part of life, but so is God’s faithfulness.

The devastation to my home country is unimaginable. Infrastructure sustained significant damage, from my point of view, it will take years for us to recover as a people. Yet, it is imperative, we hold on to God’s promise, when we pass through the waters, He will be with us.

For parents raising neurodivergent or special-needs children, the storms often feel unending — medical appointments, sleepless nights, emotional fatigue. Yet God promises His presence, not just when the sun shines, but when the winds roar. His peace isn’t fragile; it’s an anchor that holds you steady when everything else is shaking.

Take courage: you survived what was meant to overwhelm you. The same God who walked you through the flood is leading you toward restoration. Every challenge can become a testimony of resilience and faith.

“Peace isn’t the absence of storms, but the assurance of God’s presence within them.”

Prayer

Lord, thank You for protecting my family through every storm. Teach me to find peace in Your presence, even when life feels uncertain. Help me trust that You are working all things together for good. Amen.
