Welcome to another fresh start Monday, where we change the narrative. Today we will be starting the series on CHANGE, by taking a closer look at the necessity of change.

The most permanent thing I have found in life is change… in my few decades I have learnt that the more accepting I am of this paradox, the easier it is to navigate the seasons of life.
Change is a natural part of life, every living thing experience change… even those things that are not living. The plants experience change, most start as a seed, buried and in the dark before they show any visible sign of life, they grow and produce fruit with seeds and the cycle is repeated. The animals experience changes as well, and as plants so we return to our beginning at the end… as the famous saying “once a man, twice a child”. It becomes evident that we are all in a constant state of change. And though these changes may appear to be troublesome at times, they are actually evidence of life.
Understanding and appreciating that everything changes can give us a peace of mind comparable to no other. Because, we no longer live and play defensive, but often times we must be on the offensive. When we are aware that things could change for the better or worse, it opens our minds to new innovations and solutions.
“Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future.” – John F. Kennedy
It enables us to trust the process and embrace our journey. Recognizing that though we may need to take a different route than was originally planned, we still work towards the goal. We become open to evolving, so we no longer solely focus on achieving our specific goals but we are fully aware and embrace the growth process as we journey.
Growth is really hinged on the change process. No growth will happen without change. Therefore, we cannot experience growth without change. So, let us embrace the growth process and change the narrative…
